NBIA and RTSCH Completed Dredging the Southern Canal of Suvanabhumi Airport

2000, the New Bangkok International
Airport (NBIA) held a ceremonial acceptance on the dredging completion
of southern As a consequence
of the 10th May 2000 contract, "NBIA coordinated with Royal Thai
Supreme Command Headquarters to proceed H.M.'s project involving Bangkok
and its environs flood solution. In accordance with the contract, RTHCH
force redeployed in order to remove weeds and ditch a teeming of 16
alleyway canals such as Bangplee, Bangkrabue and No.1-9 canals for increasing
the drainage 's capability to enable to swifter releasing the northward
water into the sea. NBIA took part in the royal project that was responsible for the urban deluge problem since 1998, with the primary budget 54 million baht. Formerly, NBIA had recorded a procurement agreement with RTSCH to dredge its surrounding watercourses under the budget of 35.78 million baht.
The sequential
outcome was attribute to the spacious watershed area coping with the
bounties of water level reach to 500,000 cubic meters, hence alleviating
and preventing the denizen of Latkrabang and Samutprakarn areas from
the overflow as an interim plan. Furthermore, NBIA participated in the
other deluge solving organizations nearby the airport site including
the long-term flood resolution as well.
